Musha “Kaze” (Wind) Katana

From the Musha Collection comes this intricately hand forged “Kaze” (Wind) Katana. The Full tang 1045 high carbon steel makes this a resilient katana that is sharp right out of the box. The tsuba depicts blowing wind. Just as a samurai, a wind can be a warm summer breeze or it can be devastating and unstoppable as a tornado. The samurai can be calm during peacetime but when he is needed for battle they will fight to defend what they believe to be right.

The integrated Bo-Hi on the blade. Bo-Hi is commonly known as blood grooves, but that is a common misconception. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to helps reduce the weight of the katana, it actually has nothing to do with channeling the blood. Making the Katana lighter enables the user to weld the katana smoother and puts less stress on the hands. Not to mention it benefits some advance cutting techniques that requires the katana to change direction rapidly.

All Musha swords are able to be fully disassembled. Maru Gata style Tusba, Fuchi, Kashira all can be swapped out for a different set. Real wood handle is wrapped with traditional cotton.
