Asuka Black Tanto

This 17" overall Tanto produced for Samurai warriors in the Shirasaya style is hand forged out of 1060 high carbon steel with real wood handle. The Tanto in Japanese culture was used as a "harakiri" weapon if the Samurai Warrior brought shame to their Family name. In popular culture today the Tanto is used for self defense and for home décor. The design of the tanto blade is also very popular as a tactical knife, numerous tactical knives now use a tanto blade. A unique feature on the blade is the beautifully detailed dragon engraving. The dragons in Japan were known to rule the seas with their immense auras.
