Musashi "Horse and Flower" Katana

From the Musashi Silver Shirakawa Series comes this hand crafted “Horse and Flower” (Uma to hana 馬と花) Katana. Maru-kitae hand forged technique using 1060 high carbon steel and clay tempered process, the Horse and Flower katana with its rare color theme will stand out.

The detailed iron tsuba depicts a wild horse under a cherry blossom tree. Horses were the special weapons of the samurai. During the warring periods, only samurais were allowed to ride horses into battle. While the cherry blossom tree has historically represented the fragility and beauty of life. It is a reminder that life is wonderfully beautiful while also being tragically short.

The Horse and Flower katana is rare among other samurai swords because of the unique color theme we have chosen. Full tang handle wrapped with brown cord over real ray skin. The color continues to the wood saya with glossy brown coating adorn with gold color flakes. Finishing with premium burgundy/white color sageo makes the Horse and Flower katana a breed above the rest.

Included with this katana is a sword bag and Certificate of Authenticity. Each sword is individually numbered on the tang.
